Welcome To

St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church online!

We’re so glad you took the time to visit our website.

We invite you to join us and catch a glimpse of why we are the church where Christ is the center. We are proud to be a beacon light in the Great Fifth Ward community of Houston, Texas. Whether you are new to the area, looking for a church home, or if you have given up on churches but not on God, stop by and visit with us on any Sunday morning or Wednesday evening.

If you’re without a church home, why not consider St. Mark — the church where “Everybody is Somebody”.

We’re pleased to announce that St. Mark now provides online giving through a software/app called Givelify. This is a convenient and safe way to make any donation whether it’s a one-time or a recurring donation. Getting started is easy, click our online giving link; or even easier, download the app on your smartphone.  You won’t have to remember to write a check or stop by the ATM on Sundays!  Online giving WILL NOT replace our offertory period, so if online giving is not for you, please continue to place your contribution in the basket during offering time.

As we return to a point of normalcy, we rejoice in the Lord that the St. Mark church family has been blessed to have not lost one soul to COVID-19.  Keeping that in mind, we are gradually returning to in-person worship service.  We will continue to follow  the Holy Spirit and listen to the scientists in keeping ALL of our members safe.   As we follow the guidance of health professionals and governmental leadership, we will make follow-up determinations each week, and as soon as we feel it is wise for us to return to our weekly schedule, we will do so.  We will continue to offer the Sunday Worship Service via Facebook and YouTube.

We will maintain our nightly bible study and prayer time as we continue to stay strong in the Lord.  Let’s remain prayerful for our church family, our city, county, state and national leaders.

With Faith,

Pastor Glynn
